| Job Purpose: |
The Assistant Manager - Special Projects (AM-SP) reports to the Dean of the Educational Institution and performs a variety of tasks that are technical, analytical and administrative duties in providing responsible support to one or more departments; and perform related duties as assigned.
Under instructions from the Dean, the AM-SP will assist department heads with special projects, reports or other assignments, performing a variety of administrative support and analysis functions which involve an in depth knowledge of a wide range of policies, procedures and technical work processes.
Tasks allotted to the AM-SP must be completed in an effective manner working to strict deadlines. |
| Principle Responsibility: |
-MS Project:
Apply MS Projects to the preparation of progress reports. This includes collection of tasks and progress data against established targets and tasks from Department heads on a regular monthly basis and, using MS Projects software, prepare monthly progress, exception and other reports as required by the Dean.
-Monthly and other reports:
Prepare regular monthly progress and exception reports as well as any additional reports as requested by the Dean
-Maintainance of records and correspondence:
Handle and maintain all correspondence with reference to associated office outside Pakistan. As directed by the Dean, prepare formal reports, letters and other documents using material provided in the form of rough notes, drafts, dictation and brief oral instructions.
-Internal coordination:
Support the Dean in the internal coordination and ensuring smooth communication by working with the heads of departments for organizing various meetings, reports, etc. and provide support to the Dean on various routine and other matters arising in an efficient and timely manner.
-Other tasks and responsibilities:
Provide support to the Dean on various routine and other matters arising during the establishment of the School in an efficient and timely manner particularly for those tasks that are critical to the timely commissioning of the School. |
